Does My Insurance Cover Chiropractic Care?
While different insurance plans have different benefits, many insurance plans cover chiropractic care! Chiropractors are considered primary providers and therefore, most insurance companies will cover treatment at an in-network chiropractic office when dealing with acute aches, pains, or specific injuries. This comes as a surprise to many, as they aren’t aware that their health insurance will cover chiropractic care. If you have questions on whether your specific insurance covers chiropractic care, please don’t hesitate to call the office at 605-661-3639 or message us on our website or on Facebook!
Like previously mentioned, there are different types of coverage on different insurance plans. Here are a few:
Co-Pay Plan:
Many people that have a co-pay plan aren’t aware of the level of coverage they have and are pleasantly surprised by the care they can get for their injuries, aches, and pains at such a low cost. With this plan, the patient pays a co-pay during their visit (often approximately $20-30), and the insurance company picks up the rest of the cost of the treatment.
Deductible Plan:
With a deductible plan, the patient will pay out of pocket until their deductible is met. Once the deductible is met, their insurance company starts paying a large percentage of the treatment. The out-of-pocket costs for chiropractic care are much more affordable than many people realize.
Cash Payments:
There is always the option to not use insurance for chiropractic treatment, and as previously mentioned, it is much more affordable than people typically realize. Feel free to give the office a call or message for cash prices. Our goal at SWAT Chiropractic and Rehab is not to get you to come back as many times as you can. It is to get you better as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible and help you start to live a healthier, pain free life, doing the things you enjoy!
